ABOUT
PH Charters has several motor yachts and tenders for rent. These are "bare boat" rentals, meaning that you provide your own captains and crew. Feel free to ask about recommendations for captains. We know several that are familiar with these boats and will hire out at excellent rates. The boats are all slipped at the beautiful Marriott Marquis Marina in San Diego, the best marina location in San Diego.
ACTIVITIES & IDEAS
Dinner Cruise
There are numerous restaurants within San Diego Harbor that have public tie-up docks. Cruise over, tie up and have a sunset dinner. For example, a great location (20 minutes of cruising) is Lowe's world-class resort in Coronado (see images below).

In fact, there is no need to leave the yacht at all. While you cruise, enjoy dinner on the top deck of any of our boats. Why not cruise out to the Point Loma where San Diego Harbor meets the open Pacific and watch the sun drop over the horizon while playing music on the yatch-sound systems and eating in our fantastic all-weather luxury recliners.

Harbor tour
Harbor tour
A fun activity is to circumnavigate the entirety of San Diego Harbor. Motor under Coronado Bay bridge, circle around Glorietta Bay, around the Coronado Yacht Club, then pass the Navy SEALS training boats and buildings, swing down to the preserve, back up pass the many warships and drydocks, check out the super yachts in the deep water slips across from the Convention Center, then steer under the wings of the US Midway (because it is now a museum, you can get right up to it), then over to the variety of ships (sail boats and submarines) that are part of the San Diego Maritime Museum, then over to the bait docks (where seals and sea lions always congregate), go pass the Submarine base (typically a nuclear class sub is there for viewing), swing out in the Pacific Ocean, check out the Point Loma lighthouse and kelp beds, watch jets and military helicopters take off on North Island etc. Just a fun and fantastic several hours of cruising around.

Fish or Watch
The Roos Cruise is fully loaded for fishing. It has a bait well, more than 24 fully rigged fishing poles, gaffs, nets, a huge tackle box with everything one would need, a kill-bag, coolers, and a Mexican-waters fishing license for the boat. All the boats have modern, state-of-the-art satellite, radar and navigation packages plus numerous on-board maps. Whether fishing locally, running out to 29-mile, dropping into Mexico and fishing the Coronado Islands or just out watching for whales and dolphins, this is always a fun activity.

Run up or down the coast
Popular runs include travel down to Mexico and staying at resorts along the coast or, perhaps even more popular, is running out to Catalina Island and mooring there for a day or two or more. Catalina Island is simply fantastic with all sorts of activities. It is designed for yachters to drop and in for days at a time. A vibrant seaside community with tours of the famous casino (not a gambling casino), you can rent scuba equipment, go kayaking, hang gliding, zip-lining, take a bus tour around the island, hit up the many restaurants and grills, enjoy the gorgeous beaches, take a submarine or glass-bottom boat ride, etc.
